Chapter One · A Letter

A new kind of institute for a new kind of practitioner.

From the Founder & Lead Instructor

"India has produced exceptional engineers for thirty years. It has not yet produced AI builders at scale. MasterAI exists to close that gap — physically, accountably, and outcome-first."

Sam Sandhu
Lead Instructor & Founding Architect
MasterAI Institute

MasterAI is not a course. It is a high-accountability, founder-led incubator that meets in person across two campuses in the Chandigarh–Mohali corridor. Every student enrolled in our flagship programme is required to ship a working, revenue-generating AI product before graduation. No certificate is issued in its absence.

We deliberately reject the lecture-and-quiz model that has dominated post-secondary AI education in India for the last decade. In its place, we have built a programme around three pillars: founder-led instruction, a rotating roster of industry guest faculty, and a quarterly cohort cadence that produces operators ready for the realities of 2026's AI economy — not theorists prepared for tomorrow's job interview.

This prospectus describes who we admit, what we teach, what graduation requires, and what our students go on to build. It is written for the discerning applicant who is choosing where to invest a meaningful portion of capital, attention, and twelve months of their life.

Graduation is not an exam. It is a launched product with paying users. — Institutional Mandate, MasterAI Charter 2026

Physical campuses across Chandigarh & Mohali

Format

Physical, in-person, weekday-evening & weekend cohorts. Two dedicated campuses. Hybrid online modules available for the Quantum & AI Architecture specialised tracks.

Faculty

One full-time founding instructor plus a rotating roster of working AI founders, machine-learning engineers, VC partners, and senior product builders delivering guest sessions across the year.

Outcome Mandate

Tier 1 graduates ship measurable automation savings. Tier 2 graduates ship enterprise-grade products. Tier 3 flagship graduates ship a launched, revenue-tracked SaaS — a non-negotiable graduation criterion.

A batch of twenty-five is large enough to be a community and small enough to be remembered by name.
Chapter Three · Why We Exist

The case for a builder's institute.

The Problem

The Indian executive education market has bifurcated. At the top, the IIMs, ISB, and IITs offer AI-themed strategy programmes for ₹3–4 lakh that deliver frameworks and alumni networks. At the bottom, MOOCs offer ₹5,000 video libraries that 90% of students never finish.

Neither produces operators. Neither produces the engineer-founder hybrid that India's next decade requires.

Our Answer

MasterAI occupies a deliberate third position. We charge institutional-tier fees and deliver builder-grade outcomes. Our graduates do not exit with credentials; they exit with software.

The model is closer to a startup accelerator than a business school. Closer to an artist's atelier than a lecture hall. Closer to a medical residency than an MBA.

Chapter Four · Who We Admit

Nine profiles. One shared trait.

A refusal to be left behind by the AI economy.

Beyond that single qualification, our admitted students look nothing alike. The youngest member of our typical cohort is nineteen; the oldest, sixty-two. Some arrive from elite engineering programmes. Many do not. We have admitted students whose previous degree was in Sanskrit, marketing, mechanical engineering, and one whose previous job was running a family-owned textile business.

SS

Sam Sandhu

Founding Instructor & Institutional Architect

Founder of MasterAI Institute. Sam has personally architected and launched over sixty AI SaaS products, designed specialised agentic systems for enterprise clients, and built a substantial tech-driven media presence on YouTube. His pedagogy is anchored in the conviction that AI literacy without AI fluency is, in 2026, a liability.

Sam personally leads the core curriculum across all three pathways. Every Tier III flagship student receives weekly one-on-one mentorship until graduation. There is no teaching-assistant intermediation in the flagship.

Visiting & Industry Faculty

Specialised topics — fine-tuning, GPU economics, fundraising mechanics, regulated-industry deployment, machine-learning research methods — are delivered by a rotating roster of working practitioners. Across a typical year, students attend live sessions delivered by:

Working AI Startup Founders Currently scaling Indian and global AI ventures
Senior Machine Learning Engineers From production teams at Meta, Google, OpenAI, Anthropic, Indian unicorns
Growth & Distribution Operators Practitioners shipping AI-first GTM motions
Seed-Stage Venture Partners Active investors writing first cheques into AI-native startups
AI Policy & Compliance Experts Counsel and policy professionals working on AI regulation
Senior Product Designers Designers shipping at the frontier of AI-native interfaces

Guest faculty rosters are confirmed cohort-by-cohort. A current schedule is shared with admitted students at orientation.

Chapter Seven · Academic Calendar

Four intakes. Each year.

A predictable rhythm. A small batch. Time to be known.

The Batch Model

Each batch is capped at 25 to 30 students. We have deliberately rejected the lecture-hall economics that drive larger cohorts. A batch of twenty-five is the inflection point at which community formation happens organically, every student is personally known to the lead instructor, and the founding instructor can sustain weekly one-on-one mentorship for the Tier III flagship.

We will not enrol beyond thirty students in any batch under any commercial pressure.

Intake Cadence

Admissions open four times per calendar year, structured around the academic and Indian business cycle. Applications for the next batch close approximately four weeks before the start date.

JANUARY · Winter Batch
Q1 Intake — January Start
Applications close mid-December. Largest of the four batches historically. Suits career switchers planning a January reset.
APRIL · Spring Batch
Q2 Intake — April Start
Applications close mid-March. Aligned with the Indian financial year. Popular with corporate intrapreneurs timing fiscal-year transitions.
JULY · Monsoon Batch
Q3 Intake — July Start
Applications close mid-June. Highly preferred by 12th-passout admits and undergraduate students taking a structured year away from conventional college.
OCTOBER · Autumn Batch
Q4 Intake — October Start
Applications close mid-September. The smallest historical batch, with the most personalised mentorship. Suits founders timing a January product launch.

In exceptional circumstances, the institute may admit a candidate mid-batch as a Special Student, subject to founding-instructor review.

Chapter Eight · Alumni Outcomes

Six lives. Twelve months.

Different ages. Different backgrounds. The same playbook applied.
"I was a 12th passout with no direction. MasterAI gave me a clear path. Now I'm building AI products and earning ₹2 lakh a month." — Arjun, 19 · Tier I Graduate · Independent AI Builder
"I was a marketing manager for eight years. I felt obsolete. MasterAI taught me to build. Now I'm launching my own AI SaaS." — Priya, 32 · Career Switcher · Founder
"At 58, I thought my career was over. MasterAI proved me wrong. I built an AI automation tool and sold it for ₹50 lakh." — Rajesh, 58 · Late-Career Builder · Acquired Founder
"My agency was dying. MasterAI taught me to automate. Now I run the same revenue with half the team." — Deepak, 42 · Agency Owner · AI-Powered Operator
"I was a designer with no coding skills. MasterAI made me a builder. I launched an AI design tool with 500+ paying users." — Neha, 26 · Designer · AI Product Creator

04
Enrolment & Orientation

A ten-percent commitment fee secures the seat. The remainder is due before batch start. Orientation runs the week prior to start.

Eligibility

There are no formal academic prerequisites. We do not require a bachelor's degree, an engineering background, or a coding portfolio. Twelfth-class passouts are explicitly welcome.

We do require a demonstrated capacity for sustained work and a candid commitment to the time investment described above.

Fee Structure

Fees are quoted exclusive of GST and are payable in two instalments — ten percent at offer acceptance, ninety percent at batch start. Limited financing assistance is available for qualified candidates through institutional banking partners.

The institute does not offer scholarships in the conventional academic sense. Talent-based fee adjustments are considered on a case-by-case basis at the founding instructor's discretion.
